Natasja O’Connor

Group Operations Director Food & Pharma at Informa Markets

Natasja started her Exhibition career at Earls Court & Olympia in London in the Event Management. She pursued her career with the Organisers VNU & Miller Freeman before joining the newly formed team at ExCeL London, where she helped to get ExCeL open for business as London’s brand new exhibition centre.

 

In 2004 she moved back to The Netherlands taking up the position of Operations Director for UBM’s Food & Pharma portfolio’s. From there she became EMEA Operations & Event Services Director responsible for the event operations and customer service for over 30 UBM events in the region. Natasja currently works as Head of Event & Exhibitor Success at Jaarbeurs, one of The Netherlands major Exhibition & Event venues. Here she is responsible for the event delivery and customer service for inhouse & and guest events.

 

With 25 years’ experience in delivering successful large scale events, Natasja has a track record at senior level covering all aspects of show strategy & delivery including venue negotiations, operational delivery, customer service, health & safety, sustainability, procurement & contract negotiations, team leadership, financial management and strategic development.

If you could invite anyone to present with you on stage who would it be?

Bill Gates, he is a charismatic speaker, innovator & generous philanthropist.

Imagine you are famous, who would you be?

Oprah Winfrey, she uses her network as improving the wellbeing of her viewers and strives to have positive, meaningful effect on the world.

Who inspired you the most in your life and how?

My mother and father, they brought us up with a positive spirit an drive and let me make my own choices, They were always on hand in the background for guidance and advice. My children are also a great inspiration, their honest and direct approach to life and their vision of the future is very refreshing.
